Unemployment in Greece broke all previous records: it reached 27% leaving at total of 1,350,181 people without job or income. Shocking is the unemployment among youth 15-24 years old with 61.7%.
According to Greek Statistics Authority ELSTAT, unemployment skyrocketed to 27% in November 2012 when compared to 20.8% in November 2011 and 26.6% in October 2012.
Dramatic is the situation among youth with 61.7% when compared with 50.1% in November 2011. In the age group 25-34, unemployment is 36.2% when it was 28.9% in November 2011.
Among women it reached 31.1% (24% in Nov 2011) and among men 24% (18% in Nov 2011).
The number of the people with work is estimated to be 3,624,102 people.
Equally, recession was at 6% in the last three months of 2012. Recession remained over 6% all through 2012.
